Striving Towards Better Menstrual Hygiene
Creating impactful opportunities for employment
Project Vimla
There is a lack of representation of women especially in the rural parts of India in decision making position. This is largely due to their economic dependence on their spouses/family members. There is a also a huge healthcare problem due to lack of proper menstrual hygiene specially in the rural parts of India. Vimla promises to attend this dual problem with a sustainable and long term solution. We strongly believe that an economically empowered women community would not only help in increasing the prosperity for the rural household but would also greatly contribute towards greater participation of the womenfolk in decision making at the household and the general administration of the villages. We envision a future wherein women are given equal opportunities to grow in their respective profession and are respected for the contribution made towards the growth of the household and the community at large
Vimla is a trademarked brand of sanitary napkins made by the differently abled women and for the end beneficiaries who need to first be advocated for the need for and then provided sanitary napkins at subsidized prices. We are out to create an empowered women community and also create a sustainable interventions for the inclusion of the differently abled
